Description
An intensive field experience for education majors. Beginning teacher education students will have an opportunity to observe the beginning of the school year, teach in an elementary classroom, and assist teachers by tutoring, working with small groups, grading papers, and other appropriate activities. Students enrolled in this course will be required to identify a school and teacher to work with prior to the beginning of the course. Classroom assignment must be approved by the professor. Students will begin in the local school when teachers return for the beginning of the school year and before students arrive; this may be prior to the beginning of the college semester. One semester hour credit.
